Relative humidity (RH) should be within certain limits for controlling health aspect:

Bacteria, 30 - 60% RH
Viruses, 50 - 70% RH
Fungi, less than 70% RH
Mites, less than 70% RH
Respiratory infections, above 40% RH
Asthma, close to 50% RH
Chemical interactions, less than 40% RH
Ozone production, above 75% RH

In general relative humidity for human comfort ranges 30 - 60% RH.
